Te Ara Wāhine, A Journey of Healing is a 12-week programme for wāhine/women who are on or are ready to begin a journey toward, wellbeing, healing and a deeper understanding of who they are as women.
This program has been developed through Te Ao Māori (The Māori worldview) and is designed to be inclusive of wāhine from all cultures, ethnicities, and belief systems.
At the heart of Te Ara Wāhine is the belief that true healing occurs when we nurture the hinengaro (mind), tinana (body), and wairua (spirit) together. The Māori frameworks woven throughout this programme provide a holistic approach that supports personal growth, self-discovery, resilience, and wellbeing. Te Ara Wāhine creates a safe and empowering space where participants are encouraged to reconnect with themselves, recognise their own strengths, and find the light that already exists within.
Woven throughout the programme is the guidance of Ngā Atua Wāhine Māori (Māori female deities). Their pūrakau (stories), qualities, and teachings are used as symbolic guides for reflection, healing, and personal transformation. Participants are not expected to adopt these beliefs or replace their own religious, spiritual, cultural, or non-religious worldviews. Rather, Ngā Atua Wāhine are offered as archetypes that inspire us to reconnect with our inherent wisdom, resilience, and sacred feminine strengths.
Ultimately, Te Ara Wāhine is about supporting each woman to discover her own path, to heal from the past, embrace the present, and step confidently into the future with renewed purpose, clarity, and mana.
